McCune's Stronvar Silent Raven At Raincove ~ Tri Dog at 3 ½ yrs old. Well presented dog with nothing hidden as he was groomed to the skin. His black coat gleamed & there was no sign of the ravages of the sun, his tan rich & his white collar blinding. Head is of good length & well balanced, flat in backskull with a good stop would prefer a little rounder in muzzle. His bite is good & almond eye obliquely set, ears when in use right ontop giving an intelligent & alert expression. Good shoulders allowing him to reach forward when on the move .Ribs well sprung & of a superb length though would have liked a little more depth , strong loin slightly rising . His rear quarters well put together in angulations, muscles well toned .Looked a little long compared to height, but this is because we are used to seeing bodies too short giving the impression of bigger coats, but this will correct as his mane grows back in with the rest of his coat. His movement was so smooth & effortless with his long strides & one of the few who did not need to avoid. His tail was carried a little high but not so high as to go over his back [B.O.B].

23 Mar 2008 Ayrshire Collie Club Open Show. Hurlford Community Centre. Raven was entered into Graduate Class coming 1st. Critique. McCune’s STRONVAR SILENT RAVEN AT RAINCOVE Tricolour dog with a pleasing head , nice set stop – good eyes – nice reach of neck – body a bit too long in back – good angulations in front and behind – nice black colour- well presented.

McCune’s STRONVAR SILENT RAVEN AT RAINCOVE Tri male in very lovely coat, lovely head and expression, correct eye and ear set, proportions pleasing. Little loose in front better behind.
